FCMs is the name of Materials and Objects intended for Contact with Food, including beverage preparation systems manufactured by ADUE.

In order to guarantee the quality of the food product and protect the health of the final consumer, ADUE strictly complies with the legislation that regulates FCMs, issuing a Declaration of Conformity of its systems with the applicable standards on the subject of suitability for food contact, as required by Regulation (EC) n.1935/2004.

According to Regulation (EC) n.2023/2006 FCMs must be manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

ADUE has adopted procedures (GMP) which regulate the management and manufacture of FCMs throughout its production process. This starts with the definition of the scope of supply and ends with the startup on site, via design, item coding, supplier qualification, purchase of components, management of suitability documentation, receipt of goods, warehouse management, welding, assembly, finishing treatments, migration testing, internal testing, packaging, shipping and installation.

GMP therefore applies both to the internal production phases of ADUE and to the external ones, in order to ensure the quality of the entire process involving the FCMs. Let us look at some examples.

ADUE qualifiies suppliers before purchasing FCMs, to choose those that guarantee manufacturing quality and traceability along the supply chain.

During the receipt of goods, quality control is performed on the FCMs, which are uniquely labelled in order to be able to trace them in the subsequent production phases.

Two automatic vertical warehouses support operators in the warehouse management of FCMs.

Compliance with the migration limits of chemical substances from steel to the food is verified by a laboratory certified by ACCREDIA (Italian Accreditation Body) through special tests conducted on stainless steel components manufactured by ADUE, as required by the Ministerial Decree of 21 March 1973.

Compliance with GMP ensures an unambiguous, two-way link between the purchase/production batch of FCMs and the machine on which they are installed, in order to be able to respond to any reports from suppliers or customers.

In conclusion, thanks to quality and traceability procedures aligned with the most stringent regulations and supported by modern technologies, ADUE is able to guarantee its customers safe, reliable and compliant systems.
